Lai Thin is an inclusive education specialist from Malaysia. She authored Small Steps, Big Changes for Preschool Inclusion—Malaysia’s first resource centred on presuming competence and access for children with disabilities.
She is currently the Project Lead at the National Early Childhood Intervention Council (NECIC), where she supports the strengthening of early childhood intervention practices and promotes inclusive early learning across the country. She also contributes to disability rights advocacy through The OKU Rights Matter Project.
Shaped by her experiences growing up with a sibling with disabilities, Lai Thin brings both lived and professional perspectives to her work, focusing on autonomy and meaningful participation in early childhood settings.
