Cindy Weber serves in multiple roles at SPAN Parent Advocacy Network (SPAN), united by a shared commitment to engaging, empowering, and educating parents.Cindy is the Detection, Connection, and Intervention Project Coordinator and an Early Childhood Training and Technical Assistance Specialist for the New Jersey Inclusive Child Care Project. She helps families build the knowledge, confidence, and tools necessary to advocate effectively. She also connects families to appropriate community-based resources and services to ensure comprehensive support.Cindy brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her work. As a parent who, along with her children, shares a genetic-based diagnosis that results in a range of special health care needs and disabilities, she understands firsthand the complexities families may navigate. This perspective allows her to offer support grounded in empathy, authenticity, and practical understanding.Cindy actively participates in numerous committees and working groups focused on improving systems of care for children and families, particularly those with special health care needs. She was recently elected Chair of the Cumberland County Children’s Interagency Coordinating Council, where she helps lead collaborative efforts to bridge service gaps through partnership and data-informed strategies.In addition, Cindy serves as a Parent Support Group Facilitator and Board President of the Family Support Organization of Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem Counties. She received the organization’s Parent Award in 2019 and 2024.
